Focusing on the litigation that often arises in major bankruptcy proceedings, Mr. Foley brings more than 14 years of litigation/bankruptcy experience to the firm. He currently has first chair trial responsibilities in the firm's representation of the Global Crossing Creditors Trust in the prosecution of major litigation, and has successfully concluded similar roles in multi-million dollar litigation in other bankruptcy estates. Mr. Foley focuses on complex litigation arising out of bankruptcy related business transactions and claims arising as a result of insolvency. Mr. Foley was formerly a partner in a respected Dallas trial firm before joining Neligan Foley. He was Managing Texas Survey Editor of the Southwestern Law Journal, and received the Order of the Coif.
Education:Mr. Foley is a magna cum laude graduate of the Southern Methodist University School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 1990. He graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1984, with honors, and received his Certified Public Accountant’s license in 1987 (now inactive).
Affiliations:He is admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas. He is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the State Bar of Texas.
